@Mio Don't get confused by the first episode. It all gets explained. Just go with it.
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
@Blue, and Ginger: I heard about that. Is the first part really that hard of a slog?
Whenever I imagine Scoots learning to fly, I always imagine her being like
this
at some point
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
@Mio What? No, not really. I think the first part is pretty good myself. Schneizel doesn't start becoming prominent till episode 9 or 10 though (not that you'd care about that

)

Really? The distances didn't seem too bad to me.
No what I meant is that the mapmakers just tried to put the relative locations of important points on without being concerned with accurately mesauring distances. It's like a train map where the stations are evenly spaced.

@Mio:No, I enjoyed the entirety of R2 very much. It's only in retrospect that it seems a bit disappointing, because they had really good ideas for the show that got overruled. I honestly don't understand the hate for R2, I consider the whole show to be of pretty much equal quality.
Element of Dullness.
Also, Lelouch randomly discovers Shining Armor, his long lost brother who was totally there the whole time.

I still don't see why everyone prefered the Emperor to Schneizel. The Emperor was lame.
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
Yeah Schneizel was really cool guy. He said only 'radda radda' and doesn't afraid of anything.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
@Blue Well, yeah, he gave great speeches, but I was always expecting him to do stuff.
He gets like 2 completely awesome moments. One when he
reveals that he's invincible to Lelouch and another when he
Hijacks the UFN formation broadcast to declare war on it, revealing that he wasn't trapped forever like Lelouch hoped (Lelouch expressions during both were PRICELESS.)
ANYONE who makes Lelouch's life hell is a hero of mine

By the way, did anyone else notice how similar the premises of
Death Note and
Code Geass are?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
I think the animators said something about placing certain background ponies together all the time was because their colors contrasted well.
Element of Misery...

@Blue I don't hate him as much as I did, but when you have a smart protagonist, the moments that make me feel the most satisfied are ALWAYS the parts where he's outmaneuvered or outsmarted, or blindsided. Especially when they're as smug and overconfident as he is.
e.g. Lelouch, Light Yagami, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys, Akiyama (though he STILL hasn't been blindsided and it's pissing me off)
