There's really not much to go by if you're trying to make a map of Equestria. The only locations we've really seen are Canterlot, Ponyville, Cloudsdale (which we only know is in the sky somewhere), and Appleloosa. I'm probably forgetting a few but there haven't been many.

@Blue Manehattan and Dodge Junction as well. We also know the names of several other cities. you'd still think that the fanon would've done something?

It probably doesn't. It would be bad for businesses there to not have a fixed point of operation.

@Bad: I actually doubt that Cloudsdale moves all that much since getting all those Pegasi to move all the cloud structures, terraces, roads etc. would be a logistical nightmare.

In the season 2 opener, Rainbow flew off to go save Cloudsdale, and it was implied to be a good distance away. In Hurricane Fluttershy, it was flying directly over Ponyville to allow easy transportation of water.

In conclusion, who the hell knows.

Well they did say the town supplies rain for Equestria, so yeah I figures it does move. Maybe that area on the map is it's typical hub.

I hope we get another episode in Cloudsdale. Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Scootaloo should all go up there together for some reason (to teach her how to fly, maybe?).

And Ponyville seems to exist a little bit away from but still close to Canterlot. (both cities are visible from the other after all)
