Agreed. I think the Executive Meddling was a necessary evil for the show.

Also finished watching the first half of episode S 2 E 1 (mostly because I saw the second half a week ago). Now to finish my original viewing and watch part two of the first season.

Speaking of theories, I was way off on where the Elements were. I suggested that they had something to do with Celestia.

If it wasn't for the badass twin images of Discord throwing exploding milk over his shoulder, and Discord psycically dragging the mane cast towards him BY THE ELEMENTS AROUND THEIR NECKS, then I would've hated the scene where he's defeated

Discord was an awesome villain and all, but Slice of Life much better suits this show.

Like I said I liked these episodes just dissapointed in how it ended.

Well yeah Discord's defeat seemed a bit forced. He was defated just like NM but It was a very good episode.

That's true. I don't think they will be able to harm villains in any way besides making BigBads to taste the rainbow

Maybe if Discord noticed how the ponies were back to normal, it would have made for a better climax. However, I still think the episode did well.

I think the worst part was that the first episode had a promising (if flawed) set-up. And then the second part comes and it turns out to be a flop.

Though this may just be Hype Backlash speaking.

It was only bad because it relied on Discord being handed the biggest Idiot Ball I've ever seen.

Actually, was it a Villain Ball, or an Idiot Ball that he was handed?

Hey, I'm not saying that MLPFIM is "just a kids show" or anything patronising like that. I'm just saying that people on this and other forums who are dissapointed with the last episode have to remember that the show isn't designed for them. If they like it fine, but if they complain because it doesn't meet their criteria, they're kinda missing the point of the show.

Say what you whant but this episode is great. Both parts of Return of Harmony are now my favorite episodes.

Yes they are to much rushed and they coul work better as 3 or 4 part episodes. Rest is great, so much funny and cool stuff in it, so much memetic potencial. I like how things get fixed, that TS turn her friends back with memory of last season, that those letter were importan, and Celestria do somethig more to beat Dis Qord. Even final battle with Dis Qord was cool, still need be longer but fine with way he lost.

I wish disqorded Pinkie hating things become meme, like Fransis or Bonecrusher.

And shame that nobrony make that joke:
