@Kegi I always wanted to see that in Harry Potter. A squib who fights using a combination of martial arts, weapons made from magic animal parts (like a dagger made from a Basilisk tooth), and throwable vials full of various offensive potions

@ginger I hated how harry potter equated Muggles as weak and useless DESPITE modern technology. I know Technology goes all wonky near areas of high wizard concentrations but is a wizard really immune to bullets?

Yeah, Curaçao. She's AJ's counterpart and can shapeshift into other ponies or become invisible. She's also a great actor.

How exactly would this earth pony mage be able to use potions like that and not run out quickly?

I prefer the other vocal version, where he pitch-shifted the singing.

@ginger: That's a good point; even a squib should be able to mix potions, since it's just chemistry.

@Apple: Actually, the way I was thinking of it is more like throwable vials. Bottled poison, greek fire, flashbangs, freezing fluid... that sort of thing. The series I mentioned has a class of monster slayers who fight by mixing these brews and slinging them at the monsters - they have different effects, like catching fire on contact, or expanding into foam, or becoming really sticky.

I'm kinda neutral on the whole Magic vs Technology thing.

I root for whichever has the most BOOM!

@Apple Thought the sight here said something about Voldie not being juiced up was weaker than a muggle with a gun.

Well I've considered it before, but I had trouble coming up with enough tropes. Though things should be easier now that we have regular sockpuppets.

She didn't say anything about using them, so I always assumed that she'd have a wizard friend who'd brew the potions for her ahead of time

If Muggles were "harmless", we wouldn't have the Ministry of Magic breathing down everybody's necks about performing obviously magical magic in the presence of Muggles.

An Earth Pony's strength has always lay in their versatility. Having no natural aptitude for any one from just means that Earth Ponies would need to be creative tacticians in war time, and that makes them easily the most dangerous.

Overpowered Generalization? As in the opposite of Crippling Overspecialization?

I've got diem to carpe.
