@Kyler: We've developed glass resistant to scratchs and transparent aluminium. We're getting around to thin, rollable and bendable glass next. Our information storage technology now leverages the cloud so you can reach out over the Internet to grab stuff from your NAS on the other side of the planet, and you can even control an entire city's power grid if you knew the trick to rooting the control boxes employed by the supply company by remote-terminal hacking their network via a terminal program in your smartphone that leverages a zombified botnet that spans three countries. We can even cram several million pages worth of information into a storage/access device the size of a slim book, scry with better accuracy than any omniscope or magic mirror, and make weapons more powerful than mere Flare/Meteor spells.
@Ginger Oh, okay. You mean technology, not science. That makes sense.
@Librarian, heh, you know it!
We're also pretty good at laughing AT the people we're invading too

@Lurker Although, you would think that the addition of harnassable magic would make their science different to ours in at least SOME respects. They have knowledge of a force that's (at our present time) beyond us, which would obviously interact with the other forces of the world in ways we haven't experienced, neccesitating the creation of equations and such that we don't have.

Probably, if we had access to unicorn magic (somehow), we wouldn't call it magic. We'd give it a fancy name and its own branch of science.
That was awesome Kyler.

Hi Fallen.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
@Ginger They would have knowledge on the subject, yes, but I'm talking about science itself. The scientific method does not change when you introduce magic. It merely adds another variable.
I don't know about you guys, but I definitely use magic.

@Sky I refused to read all of that joke on the grounds that there was no welshman involved

@The Doctor: Oh come on! You're still griping about that? Have you forgotten what the unicorns did in 2566?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
@ginger Just change the Irish/Scotsman to a Welshman.
If you stare into the abyss long enough, it stares into you.
Element of Indecision.
It's just another form of energy anyways. Energy can be manipulated or transformed.
@Lurker but given that certain forces in their world are controlled by abstract emotions ratherthan forces which can be quantifiably measured, their science might deviate in some way. Like, by crossing scientific method with philosophy
sigh, I probably just said 10, 000 stupid things in that sentence

Twilight should set up a center. 'The T. Sparkle Institute for Magic Research and Development.' It'll be in the sequel series to FIM I like to imagine when I'm bored.
