@Orion Do you prefer it to pony magic?

@Ace: He gave me some aviation and space related books. Sweet Celetstia! You humans of some insane stuff in the air.
@Ginger: Both science and magic are great in their own right, so I can't say I favor one over the other.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

I'm fairly sure that in most worlds that magic exists in, Science encompasses Magic. Twilight made as much clear in Feeling Pinkie Keen.

@Lurker I meant comparing human science to pony science (magic)
@CDRW Hey, I wish britain could get some stuff at the same as you americans. You guys have no right to complain

None can defeat the british. We INVENTED bitching and moaning.
tis an aincient art refined and passed down through the ages.
Why do you think I'm so good at it?
We also invented apathy

#216666Perpetual LurkerThu, 7th Jun '12 6:56:37 AM
@Ginger I personally don't see the difference. In our universe, there are four fundamental forces that are responsible for everything. In their universe, there are five, with Magic being the fifth. Science is studying the way the universe functions, therefore in any universe that functions under Magic A is Magic A, magical studies fall under the purview of science in general. Hence why Twilight is portrayed as a scientist in this setting, rather than a wizard.

We have boxes with pictures that move around and that change by poking at said box in certain ways. We have carriages that can move without the assistance of slaves animals. We have sticks that breathe fire and metal.
If science and technology isn't magic, it's pretty damn close.
#216668gingerninja 666Thu, 7th Jun '12 6:59:01 AMfrom Aboard The Damocles
@Lurker But we do have different technology and methods of doing the same things as equestrians
The methodology of our sciences was what I was refering to. Jeez, lighten up Lurker

The methodology is exactly the same, though. Technology has nothing do with how science works. And all I'm doing is having a friendly discussion of Equestrian scientific principles. You aren't thinking that I'm attacking you personally again, are you? Because I'm not. No one ever is.

Fine, I'm talking PURELY about the differing technology then, since I clearly know nothing -_-
I was basically asking Orion, do you prefer the Equestrian way of performing a certain task, or the human way.

Oh, Ginger, I have a joke for you.
The British have always taken pride in their ability to laugh at themselves.
And by themselves, I mean other people.
And by laugh, I mean invade.
