That contradicts the rock farm story

There's a practical purpose for EVERYTHING else in Equestria. What function does rock farming serve? Rocks are still treated like rocks in-universe

We saw like one day of her life in that flashback. Maybe her grandma was out. Maybe she lives somewhere else. Heck, maybe she was already dead. She didn't exactly give any context on when Granny Pie told her that.

As opposed to other lands in Equestria where ponies can control aspects of nature, a Rock Farm is the only one that doesn't even seen plausible. In no way does it explain or show how rocks can be grown, planted, or cared for by a farm.

Also, it's possible that Pinkie's an Unreliable Narrator because she's Pinkie! So fans speculate alternate stories for her.

Maybe rocks grow into crystals in Equestria! I don't think it's too much of a stretch that the Geodes we saw in Rarity's segment can't grow from little rocks. Don't forget about how ridiculously common crystals are in Equestria.

In Real Life, rocks are created through thousands of years by erosion, water, air, and different environments. I suppose it isn't hard to consider that the ponies could shape the rocks themselves, but it would be incredibly labor-intensive.

There's also that weird "rotate the rocks" line (or something simmilar) It just sounds like Pinkie's making up the most boring life she could possibly conjure.

I guess it just sounds contrived, compared to the other stories

no way I got it pinkies real father is a purple earth pony with a green main at her mother is a red earth pony with a black mane in their crime lords that "like" each other. but her mother is now involed with a grey pony "whose parents are dad"

In the beginning, rocks had to be created through the Cave-pony Way, by taking a chisle and hammer and carving them into the shapes they needed! But one clever pony discovered you could form rocks from wet clay on the ground, and let it dry overnight! He became a mare-lionaire and Rock Farms popped up all over Equestria!

And that's how I used to make Cupcakes! Sometime later, I should tell you how we make rocks on a Rock Farm! It's a doozy!

That's exactly what I want her to be like. We have no idea what her past is actually like, other than that it must have been pretty depressing, and that she discovered her cutie mark via Dash's sonic rainboom

Or 'rock Farm" is simply how a shield would internalize a "Quarry" and I imagine rocks would be used to build things. There are such tings as stone buildings, not everything is from brick or wood.

Or her true past could be the subject of a movie somewhere down the line. After years of giving out fake origin stories, it turns out that she's been hiding her horrific (or considerably more tragic) past from everyone. (either for her own sake, or because she doesn't want to depress her friends)
