Not liking the alicorns. When the alicorn in chapter 7 got killed I was happy less because it was an awesome moment for Littlepip and more because the alicorn was annoying. Seriously, that's like a textbook case of "the hero beat me because I wouldn't shut up."

Ah, ok. Not like that changes anything, as I haven't read either one.

Not in terms of personality, but they stop losing because they don't shut up. You can't use the same trick on Alicorns twice. They learn from it

@Ginger Except for dumping large amounts of explosives inside their shields. They apparently fall for that every time.

@Perpetual That's not really something they can guard against consistantly.

The progression they go through from being tricked by a memory orb, to not falling for a memory orb, to using a memory orb against Pip herself I thought was pretty awesome

I realized today I can't write MLP:FIM fanfic not even I wanted to. Because I'm only able to write parodies, and this is the second unparodiable work I meet in my life.

Venus Envy? That's easy, make fun of the "I'm going to kill someone over a part in the school production of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's most overrated tragedy" thing.

@Pannic I couldn't parody that without touching the trans issue, and couldn't think of any jokes that weren't homo and/or transphobic.

Okay, the plot of Chicago: It's set in the 1920s, and there's a woman named Roxie Hart. She wants to break into showbiz, and she's carrying on an affair with a guy who claims he has connections. He reveals that he basically made the whole thing up so he could get into her pants, and she shoots him. Meanwhile, Velma Kelly, a nightclub performer that Roxie Hart admires, is arrested for murdering her husband/manager and her sister/performance partner. They both go to prison and are almost certain to get the death penalty. Except for one thing: Billy Flynn, a celebrity criminal defense lawyer who has never lost a case.

Roxie manages to procure Flynn's assistance, and his main mode of operation? Turn Roxie Hart into a media darling.
