It's the first time I've seen Over The Barrel. I've seen about 2/3 to 3/4 of the series over and over but have yet to watch certain random ones.

I hear we're discussing ideas for the CM pages for CEQ? My interest is garnered since that tropes page is pretty much my baby.

I can't think of any CM stuff yet though, at least not off the top of my head. I know they're all supposed to be rather YMMV anyway so I honestly don't know what would count.

Incidentally, the YMMV has been updated and spruced up just a tad.

@Turtle Oh yeah. ATLA is excellent, and Korra is great as well.

@Psi Ah, ok. I need to rewatch both seasons sometime.

@Mars I thought those two were EXTREMELY boring. -_-

@Moe What?

@Chada I'm not a fan of Gray and Grey. I like being able to confidentally root for people, thanks

Odd. Over A Barrel was the first episode I ever watched.

I like watching them in my own pace on Youtube. I'm doing it in a random order, though I admit I tend to prefer most Season One episodes slightly more.

I'm mixed about grey and grey, but I like when a show gives us the ability to root for either side rather than enforcing which character is sympathetic and which isn't.

Maybe this is why I like 'flawed Straight Man' vs 'sympathetic villain/jerkass' scenarios. eg. the Porky Pig vs Daffy Duck shorts, or my obsession with the AJ vs RD rivalry.

I can't remember the first episode I saw. It was either Feeling Pinkie Keen or Sonic Rainboom.

@Moe What?

Just giving you more recommendations that you'll undoubtebly ignore.

Anyway, yeah, Iria:

And here's part 2 and part 3

(the real villain shows up near the end of this episode)

My first episode was Sonic Rainboom, followed by Bridle Gossip.

@sky strike: My first was A Friend In Deed. Though I remember watching a snippet of MMDW to see what the show's hype was about beforehand.

wow...just wow, this is amazing...

I know it hurts for y’all right now, and I ain’t gonna say it shouldn’t. If y’all are feelin’ like a whole bushel o’ apples fell on yer life, I understand. Sometimes the world can be a tough place for a pony, and sometimes Ah don’t know why this kind o’ horseapples happens.

Y’all in a real tough spot right now, and Ah want ya to know somethin’.

Y’all are one of the bravest ponies I know. Ya always got a grin wider than a sunrise and a heart bigger ‘an Rainbow’s mouth. Yer a stonger pony than y’all are giving yerself credit fer.

I know it’s rough sugahcube. Sometimes the harvestin’ gets nipped by an early frost, or the colt y’all got yer eye on dances with some other filly. It can be really hard, and Ah can’t even imagine how much pain yer holdin’ in right now.

But Ah want ya to know somethin’.

All the ponies who been talking to ya, all the ones giving ya hugs and encouragin’ ya, they know y’all are a strong pony too. They want to see ya get back on yer hooves and start buckin’ at all the chances ya got at life. They care about you. Ah care about you.

Y’all never need to worry yer noggin none about whether or not we’re gonna look down on any pony for a needin’ a mite o’ help. We want to help ya, and y’all deserve it more than y’all can ever know. We’re yer friends. Helpin’ you is what all o’ us are here fer.

So don’t be sad sweetpea. Ah know y’all can get past this barrel of sour apples, and yer friends are gonna help you every step o’ the way. Mahself included.

Keep a smile in yer heart when y’all are feelin’ down sugahcube, because that’s where Ah’ll be keepin’ you.

I watched the pony episodes from the beginning of the series and didnt catch up with the live airings until Hearts and Hooves day.

My boyfriend thought it was something I would like, and I had actually been avoiding watching it... but he loaded them on my tablet for me to watch when I was bored.

@storyeller: I only watched the start of the episode anyway since it took me a bit to get into the show. Though I did notice a lot of annoyed comments below it which left me a little unsure about it.

I think after Friend In Deed I watched most of the first half of Season One in order.

@Seraph - that sounds a little bit OOC for Applejack to be saying (Im assuming thats who is speaking) considering her actions in Applebuck season and The Last Roundup.

Then again... I guess she'd do it for her friends but she wouldnt want her friends to do it for her...

[up]That does seem a defining trait for AJ, she can dish it out but can't take it.
