Forget the cotton candy, who would want to actually eat any of that wet popcorn.

I actually really want to try that now. Pinkie at least seemed to like it. Granted she puts hot sauce on cupcakes, but still.

The chocolate cotton candy that is, not the damp popcorn. Eww.

Both seem gross. Now, if it were cotton candy clouds without the chocolate rain... Yummy.

By the way, did that song pop into anyone else's head the moment the chocolate milk rain started falling?

Was Discord directly controlling all those clouds? Cuz if he was then that's some phenomenal multi-taking talent he's got there [lol], since he was supposed to be all the way in Canterlot.

[up][up]Well I didn't think of it because I somehow missed that meme completely. But judging by reaction threads just about everyone else on the internet jumped all over that.

[up]Not just those clouds, RD said there was also a cola storm in Cloudsdale, and presumably there was weird weather everywhere else in Equestria.

I know it's already been posted, but I think it bears repeating

So either he's an amazing multitasker or just that powerful.

He probably just created them and sent them off to do their thing. Exerting lots of fine control over a thousand different things doesn't seem his style.

Right, considering he's discord.

Was chocolate rain a common occurance in the old Equestria? Because Celestia identified the threat very quickly as being Discord. [lol]

Maybe she figured he was the only one strong enough to do something like that

...You know what's weird? The Hub's "now, next, then" bumper said that "My Little Pony, but a different one" was next and they showed the same episode twice in a row.

Well they were doused in chocolate milk. Being wet probably made them much stickier.
Wouldn't wet cotton candy pretty quickly turn into a big mass of wet, pink sugar, though?

[up]Probably, but it also shouldn't be floating in the sky raining chocolate milk on everypony.

[up][up][up]She had some time to figure out what was going on, it would have been as easy as checking the garden to see if his statue was there to know if it was him.

Kindly refrain from calling the cotton candy clouds "sticky"...
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

[up]Pinkie is made of cotton candy.

BTW I don't like cotton candy, so only chocolate rain is for me.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

It's just... it's weird, is all. Cotton candy is dry and fluffy, and getting it we would dissolve it. The clouds just make more candy-related sense if they were bubblegum.

So what you're saying is that the candy clouds aren't feasible? Egads!tongue

I'm sayin', even in terms of flyin' clouds made of candy raining down chocolate milk, cotton candy doesn't make sense. It wouldn't survive getting wet, and it wouldn't stick to Rainbow Dash in the way it does. Nor would it stretch when pulled. Cotton candy jus tpulls apart like, well, like cotton.

Now gum. Gum would get sticky when wet, instead of dissolving. And it would stick in just the right way to create the effect we see when Rainbow crashes into one.

Yes, I am serious about this distinction.

The only problem then becomes the fact that the rabbits and such really shouldn't be swallowing gum, if it were gum. But it's not gum. It's cotton candy that acts like gum.
