Okay, but maybe they're more cloud than cotton candy. Clouds in Equestria are pretty malleable, which would allow stretchiness, so maybe they aren't literally floating clumps of cotton candy, rather they're clouds with cotton candy coloring, stickiness (which could also be from the chocolate), and taste.

Foe Yay would have been a Discord/Celestia ship based on their interaction in the first episode of the new season.

This is a made-up backstory describing a one-sided interest that was rejected (and became the start of a slide into darkness). More of a Freudian Excuse than anything, really. (And strictly speaking, it isn't even shipping so much as starboarding.)

I dunno though, I kinda like the theoretical celly/discord thing. I sort of like to imagine Celestia as at least being mean in the olden days, and sort of... fudging history a bit, to cover up old shames.

But I like to imagine that she keeps a true history lying around, in an old book. Just so that, if she ever really wants to tell somepony, to get it off her chest, she can. Like one night when she leaves it out so that Twilight will find it as a filly, and read it. Of course, she can't let Twilight remember, so she has to take the memory away. But it was nice for her to know that, for just a little while, somepony knew the truth.

hm. That probably wasn't half as compelling as those things usually are. I need sleep.

I like to imagine that at some point, Discord kind of respected Celestia due to her troll like nature, but because she never embraced it, his faith in her was shaken. I bet he feels almost sad about it deep down. I reckon he'd love to have a playmate who's on his level

I always hate it when the heroes don't play along with the villain's games. Like with Batman and the Joker, would it kill Celestia to lighten up a bit around Discord? Not provoking him is probably preferable to making him mad

. . . Yeah. Given his apparent Troll nature, perhaps indulging him a tad might actually make him lay off for awhile.

Unlikely hypothetical that came to mind earlier:

So all of Twilight's friends have been deharmonized put under some kind of trance, right? She tries to fix it, but she can't. Everyone's fighting with each other, and Twilight is totally out of ideas. Eventually she gives up and locks herself in the library.

Quite possibly the basement.

Discord comes to visit, wondering why nobody's playing along with his decidedly-more-elaborate-than-the-hedge-maze game, but Twilight cuts him off with "The game is over, Discord. You've won." (In a particularly acidic tone, no less.)

Discord claims that, "Well, that's no fun at all. Fine, I'll put all your friends back the way they were." Poof! Everyone's back to normal! "Happy now?"

...

What? I said it was unlikely!

Hmm. . . He takes delight in disorder, so it is sort of unlikely. However, he does seem to be a bit of a hedonist, at least from how I interpret him, so something like that might not be too far of a stretch.

Really, in my eyes, it depends on whether his disorder-loving or hedonist side wins out.

Unless, of course, Twilight manages to rectify the situation on her own, The Power of Friendship being omnipresent in this show and whatnot.

And last thing what Dis Qord done was making some awesome pose so he could look cool as stone statue.

I just assumed that Discord was in the middle of singing opera when Celestia and Luna snuck up and went John Wilkes Booth on his ass.

Quick question Why is Rarity so obsessed with her Diamond?

Wasn't it established that gems were Worth Less Yellow Rocks ?. Not to menton that she is able to Find them easily  with her magic?

She is under the affects of a spell by Discord- it's safe to assume she lost her sanity as well.

None of those gems were anything NEAR the size of her DIAMOND!!

Let's not forget that Rarity has a thing for gems (they're her cutie mark, after all), which gives them a bit more value in her eyes. (Though they're probably still valuable to a degree, in-universe.)

Kinda like how I'd buy Unhinged boosters, even though I could never put any of those cards in a deck. Would I spend money to buy more? Possibly.

(Nevermind the fact that I actually might make an Unhinged deck, but that's for another thread.)

Rarity whanted to give this diamons to Spike for all his troble.

Or even better, this is how she will harmonisated again. She give Spike that "diamond" and get colours back and Spike will end up with one big rock.

If that doesn't make Spike confess his love for Rarity, I don't know what will.
