WOW - Wrath of the Lich King, sure for most of it it seemed like Arthas was being your standard cliched bond villian, but it was all part of a much bigger plan that came damn close to succeeding.

plus it had Yogg-Saron, you can never go wrong with an Old God

no, the ones in the 80's he had free range over, and the one's in the 90's he was told from the start to make them like Disney movies.

this one he was told he could make the movie his way at first, then they changed it mid production.

I'm imagining that scene when Celestia finnaly god pissed, banish Goldbloon into Moon. Goes back to Canterlot. Takes control of Equestia again (with Luna approval), both teleport to Zebra Ceasar and confince that moron (no matter if with paragon or regenerate arguments) to end war.

That's what I loved about the back story in FOE it felt real, it dind't feel like a story, it felt like a history book, nearly everything they did I could understand how it seemed like a good idea at the time, even if you could see in hindsight why it was a horrible idea, plus for a good part of it there's the fact that it's second-third-tenth hoof accounts and hearsay colored by perception.

I don't think there will be a next time. The game fell victim to a glitch that led to anyone who wanted to play being greeted with a "Another person is playing. Check back in 10 minutes" message. This went on for at least three weeks, so I'm told.

For me backstory was allways weakest part of FOE. I would prefer stuff unexplained. Last PH chapter reinforced that.

yeah because PH is written by someone without the talent Kkat has that has to make his personal Mary Sue somehow responsible for everything and be controlling and manipulating every single thing every pony did all while being undetected.

Stop trying to argue PH stuff as if it matters when all i'm talking about is FOE, the only non-Kkat written stuff tha is cannon is chapter 20.5

I think the backstory is the most interesting part of FOE. Most of the present is just a video game.
