@Star Swirl: I wonder if there was any, ah, design to the artificial horn? Circuit- or nerve-like lines running over it to simulate the pathways magic could flow along?

@Kyler: It depends whether the pony or Changeling genome would become dominant. A pony with some changeling traits might end up becoming more vunerable to metamorphic illnesses like the Cutie Pox.

@Kyler: Chronic Colour-changing? It's a disorder that strikes ponies with the ability to change colour, a form of Power Incontinence.

@Yeller: I was thinking illnesses and disorders associated with shape-shifters in general, like Mode Lock, Power Incontinence, and possibly loss of, ah, control under certain conditions.

I don't think ponies can change their color. Naturally, anyway. They'd have to use hair/fur dye, or a specific unicorn spell.

I still wonder if some changelings are capable of mixing and matching body parts from various sources to create a more customized form for themselves.

I still don't think changelings can create an entirely original form from scratch. (or it's a very rare talent if they can)

Well a metamorphic virus is one that keeps rewriting itself so that every copy looks different, making antivirus programs useless.

Difficult as hell to diagnose.

You may be suffering from Metamorphic Disease X if you have three or more of the following: coughing, sneezing, falling down cliffs, Alzheimer's, halitosis, blurry vision, strabismus, high fever, dizziness, drowsiness, sexual dysfunction, Alzheimer's... etc.

Don't certain kinds of bacteria (maybe also viruses?) already do that? The common cold, for one.
