It strikes me as strange that AJ has the knowledge of some of the more "exciting" horse tack and applies it - I mean, she isn't above fashioning crude bit-and-reins and riding Dashie. Wow. (as seen in Bridle Gossip)

It seems less wierd for Twi to own saddles, because she ferries Spike around sometimes, and it can't be pleasant to get scraped up by dragon scales, even from a dragon hatchling. (It also lends itself to a hilarious sightgag involving Spike and her frilly saddle padding)

Dashie doesn't seem like the type to enjoy being tied up anyway

Also, Apple's busy with his night job, and some of the others are trying to get sleep. Ed's in my timezone, but he also has his own stuff to do, even on a Saturday.
