Is it just me or does stressed Twilight start to sound like Timmy Turner?

I think they're both voiced by the same gal.

I know they are, it just seem like Tara Strong starts slipping into her Timmy voice when Twilight is stressed.

This wasn't one of the better episodes, but I didn't expect it to be. I'm glad we got to see more of what the princess was like as a character, since it was kind of weird for her to have such a major role in the story and for us to not know much about her.

Also the other episodes this season look like they're all going to be awesome. Even if they aren't as funny or entertaining, they'll still answer some questions I'd like to know.

Aren't we likely to see more of the princess and her sister in the second season? It was nice to see her having a bigger role this time.

Yeah, this episode wasn't as good as the other ones. Though I loved Rarity freaking out about her dress.

@_@ I also went on a pony doodling rampage of doom and yeah... and I normally hate doing colored lines because I suck at them!

I do wish we'd see more of Celestia, myself.

I don't think it's much of a difference in opinions, to be honest. It's one of those episodes that people can see either way, overall it was pretty good as always though.

You don't honestly expect her to give away spoilers before it's out do you?

I guess that just means there will be another "big bad" so to speak, that can't be dismissed by scolding or running away from.

I think some would want to see this guy come back as a villian.

Dude. That goat looks hardocre. I would love seeing him as a big bad. Ah, heck, I've got the widest grin just from knowing they're going to have a big bad in the first place! I had always gotten the vague impression Faust was pushing for a more arcing show with the Gala plot, So maybe we're going to see something like that next season.

I get the impression that a lot of people want to see Trixie as a big bad, or at the very least see her and Gilda make some kind of return. I love how much this fandom will latch onto characters that appear in a single episode (Or less!)

I almost wish they'd bring back Nightmare Moon.

Almost. I mean, I get Luna's a separate Character now, but what if there was some kind of evil essence that helped her down her road to darkness that was the actual Big Bad?

I do notice that the original series had more villians and some of them were more hardcore than Nightmare Moon. Here's a list of some of them.

Tirek: The first and biggest bad, basically a satan-analogue centaur with a bag of pure evil - it contained a "rainbow of darkness" that would shoot out and corrupt anything it touched, even turning the My Little Ponies into dragon-like monsters. He tried to create an endless night, but a small broken piece of a TRUE "rainbow of light" was enough to destroy him and all his evil forever.

Catrina: Once a pretty nice catwoman/witch, Catrina got hooked on the druglike Witchweed Potion that could turn her into a huge demonic giant that shoots lightning out of her eyes, and cast powerful spells (just like all drugs worth mentioning). She's a slavemaster, forcing people to work in her mines for the ingredients needed to make the stuff, and she's been getting more erratic since it's running low. Eventually she goes too far, and with the help of the ponies and her henchman (actually a friend from the days when she was good) are forced to stop her. Her old friend gets her to kick the habit.

Porcina: a narcissistic magical pig-woman who wanted to admire her own reflection constantly and gained a "midas touch" that turned everything into glass - including terrified ponies (later turned back).

Queen Bumble: a giant queen bee who led an army of giant bees.

Grogar: a goat-like beast who had frickin' lasers that could shoot out of his horns and a magical castle that could teleport between dimensions.

Flores: Evil plants. FEED ME!

Crunch the Rockdog: a GIANT emotionless rock bulldog that controlled living boulders and, oh yes, could turn you to stone with a touch. Turned several ponies into terrified looking statues (they got better).

If any of them do return, it would be interesting to see what they look like with an updated look.

So is it just me, or is anyone else wondering why it was that Twilight didn't seem to have any idea that Celestia's bird was a Phoenix? Did Celestia get it recently, or had Twlight never seen it before, or what's the deal there?

Just by the descriptions I can tell those would be awesome to have in Friendship is Magic. I'm not going to see any of the original series to see them. But you know Lauren would make them greater villains then they were then apparently.

I particularly want to see Porcina, probably because she sounds like she could be Rarity's Evil Counterpart.

I just saw a video of the Smooze...it would have been better if the singing wasn't there.
