Howdy, y'all. (how's my Applejack impression?)

And, yeah, Mary Sue tests are pointless.

The Eleventh Doctor is cool.

Hello, Dalek.

I haven't encountered many Mary Sues as far as I know.

My favorite quote from PF 6, "Stay away from that pony. She's an assassin!" The pony he's referring to? Fluttershy.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@Blue I have a small rewrite here which would've stopped my bitching.

Ozai fires lightning at Zuko. Zuko redirects it back into Ozai. Ozai backhands the lightning into a wall and the resulting dust from the impact covers Zuko's escape.

[up][up]I laughed my head off when it turned out that they put Fluttershy in that role.

Okay, I have to go. Will be back later.

I see pony fantasy 6 subscribes to the fanon version of THE STARE.

Haven't seen the show myself, but given what you guys have said, sounds like the villain made them give up a pretty big ace (since only two people knew about that technique) in the hole to merely stun said villain.

@Ginger:Backhanding lightning away would require him to have as-of-yet unmentioned supernatural powers. Lightning doesn't work that way (both in real life and in the Avatar universe). Instead, I'd have him just look really freaked out for a second... then dodge it anyway.

[up]Not exactly. The redirecting lightning thing only happens like twice in the series anyway.

Finally got to watch Green Isn't Your Colour yesterday, thus, I have now seen all of Season 1. And now, any semblance of a fandom I was in I now depart.

@Blue Or he could've redirected the lightning BACK at Zuko again but by which point he's already out the door (can Ozai redirect lightning?)

If not then yeah, easily dodging it would've worked too

What happened?

[up]No, he can't. Iroh invented the technique, and never told anyone but Zuko.

I prefer the Time Lords and Terror version. Fluttershy is actually hyper-perceptive, she constantly takes in every little detail of information she sees, including being able to read every little subconscious tell on everypony she meets, which contributes to her extreme uncomfortableness around new ponies, they send her into sensory overload. (This ability also lets her see right past perception Filters)

Th Stare is her doing the reverse, her controlling her own body to the point that she projects an aura of pure utter dominance against her target, every twitch, expression, look, vocal queue all just bombard the target with so much of it that it overloads there subconscious making them instinctively submit to her.

@ Ginger: Iroh invented the technique and taught it only to Zuko. So unless they both invented the technique independently Ozai doesn't know how. Not that lightning fazes him much.

@Seraph That's a bit... excessive, IMO. Not every character trait needs a magical explanation.

I decided to leave mainly because I feel that I'm not going to progress if I'm just going to sit around moping about how I feel childish watching this (if you've known me and how all these coincidences with a certain purple dinosaur ended up making me feel bad about myself.) I decided, just one more episode of Season 1, and pretend Season 2 doesn't exist. Just to clear anything up, I couldn't give a shit if it's a girl's show (because I like Powerpuff Girls) and I couldn't give a shit if it was a preschooler's show (done right that is, like Jelly Jamm) but if I have to get within as close a proximity as I am with Barney & Friends, then no way will I proceed any further. That's a separate entity of its own, as far as I'm concerned.

no it's not at all magical, she doesn't magicly project an aura..it's just she understands non-verbal cues so well she insticivly knows just what ones to use.

[up] well, no reason to feel childish at all, but if that's how you choose to feel, it's up to you. But your missing some of the best episodes.

@x86

You're quitting because you're feeling self-conscious? There's no shame in enjoying a quality show, and it's not like you have to go around parading how much you watch it anyway. All that matters is that you enjoyed it.

@Seraph

Hyper-perception to that degree is a supernatural skill no matter which way you slice it, and I really don't like what amounts to a mental defect resulting in the entirety of a character's, well, character.

Don't goad him into watching it, Blue.

Some people just can't get past that fact that it's a show aimed primarily at little girls. I'm cool with that
