Ok, well, Alpha was kind of awesome. Gunna have to admit that.

I'm unfortunately finding myself become rather unhealthily interested in Discord. Not in that way of course, but I find myself scouring the web for other people's opinions on him.

I like him. He seems really interesting. He also seems like a veritable fountain of memes just waiting to be opened.

I'm also hoping he has a one-winged angel dealie. I was imagining replacing his normal body parts with ursa-style body parts, except all different colors and from different Celestial beings. He would probably end up pretty big.

I can't imagine him going one-winged angel. He seems pretty relaxed, and probably wouldn't start raging over stuff. The only situation I can see him resorting to that kind of anger is if he's sure he's going to win, and someone beats his game through a loophole. I doubt this will happen, because the way he's treating the Mane 6, it seems he almost wants them to win.

I do hope he has a one winged angel form, but more of a mental one. He'll make himself APPEAR larger and more threatening in the heads of the mane cast, but really he hasn't changed at all, and it's the final stage of the game

Character Allignment for Discord?

I'm hoping he'll be Chaotic Evil. but some seem to be suggesting the Chaotic Neutral route

So... How do you guys think the whole fanfic landscape is going to change now that we (by we I mean the people who write fanfics) have a different antagonist to use as opposed to Nightmare Moon over and over and over again?

Or at least canon antagonist.

I thought the idea was that the song is very energetic, and Pinkie is very energetic, so it fits. But then Twilight also fits as Pinkie's too-cool sidekick doing the "SCIENCE RULES" voice.

But wouldn't he have been imprisoned by the time Luna turned evil?

Assuming that some higher power created Discord, maybe this power also turned Luna evil after Discord was imprisoned?

Just from what we've seen so far, it seems more like Discord is a trickster than outright evil. I agree that there might be a Bigger Bad or something more to this whole dealio.

Nightmare Moon was only an antagonist in some of the top tier fanworks. Most others went with Celestia or some twisted form thereof instead. I don't see this changing with Discord, except that Nightmare Moon may have to timeshare.

We don't really need someone who's actually evil though. Discord could be a continuous source of problems unless he's sealed and that's good enough.

It could be the closest thing we'll get to a Myth Arc; everytime a new Big Bad appears, it's implied that something bigger created/corupted them to be evil

I wouldn't mind either way cuz I'm not a writer
