Hold on, in Call of the Cutie, why did Cheerilee hold off on telling the fillies about Cutie Marks until AFTER the majority of her class had already gotten them? There has to be some kind of average age for when a filly gets their Cutie mark, you'd think she'd have made a point to explain it before that age.

Well if he is a shape shifter, then he seems to prefer the chimera form. Going by the stained glass windows in the castle he was in that form back when the princesses beat him.

It's the same form he has in the Stained glass. I don't doubt for a second he can shape-shift, but I do think that's what he honestly looks like.

Discord looks cobbled together because he WAS cobbled together by an even Bigger Bad than himself. He's like a frankenstein's monster created to spread chaos throughout the worlds. Whether or not he's just acting according to his programming, or if he became fully sentient and is just doing what he wants, we don't know.

I prefer to believe he cobbled himself together either for lulz or All Your Powers Combined. Then he decided he was missing an Alicorn horn and thought deep blue would be a nice color.

It's my opinion that Discord was originally a body-less force, and he looked at the creatures and said, wow, bodies look cool.

So he cobbled one together out of bits and pieces that fell off the other creatures.

The reason why he's so powerful is that he's one of those near omnipotent forces, not the other kind.
