Ginger had the right word, Speciesist.

And I'm not gonna deny that one. I don't think of my pet cat as being my equal, nor did I think the same thing of the cats I had before her, or the chickens I raised as a child, or the one or two puppies I've had in my lifetime. And I'm clearly favoring Ponies in a show called My Little Pony.

And I can't see why that's so morally wrong.

@Moe: I still don't understand why "ponies are the dominant" species is somehow mutually exclusive with "ponies interact with other species on a semiregular basis". I can get how individual lines like the "namby pamby pony princess" thing are annoying, but just because Equestria is the most powerful nation hardly means that other nations and/or species don't interact with the citizens on relatively equal terms.

Also, again that comparison doesn't work because those relationships aren't the same. A human being and a kitten are different levels of existence; the human is sapient and has a level of intelligence that a cat will never have. A pony and a gryphon, however, are (individually speaking) on equal terms. The only difference is that the show is about the pony. That analogy only makes sense if a human being and a kitten have comparable levels of intelligence which they obviously don't.

and why do they HAVE to be part of pony society? I have a hard time imagining Celestia and Luna not taking care of the sun and moon just becuase it wasn't ponies that were benefiting. Of course the non-ponies we see were integrated into pony society they CHOOSE to come to Equestria, it's no different then immigrants or tourists. We have no evidence at all how the rest of there species society is set up.

Further what do you mean by "Dominant" do you mean they controll and rule over the others? if so then...what!? We see no evdence at all for that. If you simply mean the most numerous, then sure I'll buy that. But I see no reason ponies wouldn't strive to live in harmony with all species no matter what. As long as they don't attack, ponies will be perfectly happy to let the rest do what they will.

Human society works the way it does because not only are humans the dominant species they are the only (fully) sapient species on the planet! We can't compare ourselves to a world that has several sapient (And very intelligent) species of fantastic animals.
