@ Moe, yes the cows kinda make it weird, but they seem to be (while sapient) much much more animal like, more like an animal that ponies just happen to be able to understand, like Fluttershy with her animals.

But we've seen no evidence that Griffins and Donkeys are anything less then just as intelligent as ponies

@Demon I'd say for Last Roundup, it would be safest to pick one version as if the other never existed. And it's just the opening. Should the opening really carry all of the episode?

@crowlover No, it shouldn't, but it's the whole "love note to the bronies" factor it's got going on. Even without Derpy, it's still a perfectly fine episode, I just mute it when the revised part happens.

Yeah, overall, the Last Roundup was a pretty weak episode. There were a few decent elements, but i's overshadowed by a lot of other episodes from the season.
