@Orion: I thing Orion has BSOD'd. Could someone reboot him?
@JT Then her problem is her attitude

Same for the Shadow Saga, Ender's Shadow was awesome, but after that the books became more about exploring differnt political ideas then anything involoving Bean.
Personally, I liked the entire Shadow Trilogy. I do agree that Xenocide and Children of the Mind were stupid though.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
@Edvedd Seems like Reggie's on it.
I am on the assignment Edvedd, CLEAR! *zaps Orion again*

With electricity? That's not very safe.

But the scene is a fake-out about her attitude. It makes her look like an arrogant, blustering boaster, but then shows that she has the skills to back it up, justifying a measure of preening.
I have a message from another time...
I'm not trying to change Ginger's attitude. I'm taking his stated tastes and given reasons for disliking things and giving evidence to show that those aren't the real reason, or at least not all of it. I just want to uncover the core of the issue, to better understand it.
Mousa's fragmented again?
Are you not entertained? Is that not why you are here?

Justified Arrogance is the absolute WORST type of arrogance... ever.
because I dislike the implication that it's ever OK to act like that

Can we agree that no logic can make sense of Ginger and move on?
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Danny who?

@ Ginger, and those are all three great measures, and pretty much the ones that everyone uses, there's just an issue using them for ponies, 1 and 3 don't count at all. Every single pony is simply magically a savant level prodigy in one area of interest, that is simply a fundamental aspect of pony physiology , and since that also happens to be what they love doing (or at least closely related), nopony is stepping on anothers hooves by being better at them in something (for the most part).
But yeah the ponies attitude about it still matters.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
Character growth during the course of a story is kinda important, especially if you are spanning several years. Its kinda boring if a character cant overcome an obstacle becasue they are unable to change. I may be getting this example wrong but the Lord of the Rings wouldnt have ever happened if Frodo hadnt grown a pair and left the shire...
