Didn't Faust say that she wanted Luna to appear in the s1 finale, but then everything was pushed back? If that's the case, then saying that she'll appear in the s2 premiere is a pretty fair assumption.

That would make sense, if the first season was meant to be book-ended by two-parters about Princess Luna, and the lingering questions about her were supposed to be answered before the summer break.

I hope that's what she meant. I'm looking forward to a million fics being completely wrong about her characterization.

Maybe the first pic from the hall is the cast reacting to something bad that's just happened to Celestia.

Alternate Character Interpretation. People have depicted Luna in fanfics/fanart from being still resentful, Moe, artistic, wise, Adorkable (my personal favorite), sad... kinda like how people depict the background ponies differently.

Lauren Faust did say she has sketches of Discord when she released all those pitch-bible sketches (though she did not say Discord was part of said pitch-bible). Whatever Discord is, he's of Lauren's design.

About Luna. I allready mentioned in this tread teory that Lauren was speaking about this episodes when she tells us that Luna will apear later.

And I sujest that glow is related to Luna.

but the first time we saw that glow, Celestia looked pissed as shit. Why would she react that way to her own sister? (when she's not NM of course)

Scootaloo (and by extension Hasbro) did the sock meme before it was cool.

That picture must have come out before "Call of the Cutie". In G3 Scootaloo was an earth pony, like Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash's change must have been real surprising for any G3 fans. Us bronies mostly don't care for what RD was like pre-G4, but can you imagine when this show/reboot was first announced? "What the hell, Rainbow Dash has WINGS now?? What is this Faust woman doing to my ponies???"

Yeah, it's been pointed out that a bunch of the ponies that were updated from G3 have gained horns or wings for G4, seemingly to even the numbers of the main three kinds. For whatever reason, it appears that Earth ponies were vastly overrepresented in MLP in the 90's and 00's. Though in G3, I think the idea was to introduce the special pony types in whole separate waves, where the different kinds would come from their own towns, only they waited way too long to introduce Unicornia and ended up producing a mere eight unique unicorns that I could find evidence of. Then when they tried the "Just seven friends" approach, they only put one pegasus and one unicorn into the gang, which comes off as tokenism even worse than splitting them perfectly evenly does now.
