Discord is my favourite villain but the Changelings are a close second.

My favourite jerk/bully is Trixie. Because of her hamminess.

What's interesting is that Chrysalis is probably the weakest of the three villains, but she came as close to total victory as Discord did.

I think I like Discord and Chrysalis equally, but both for differnt reasons.

Yeah Trixie is best non-evil antagonist.

Rainbow Dash would be the drummer who always gets blown up.

The queen at least has way too much glee in breaking Twilight for me to think of her as non-evil, especially as she was clearly aware that she was being a bitch. I don't think the changeling morality is different to the point of Blue and Orange Morality; it's more like Values Dissonance than anything else. And I'm pretty sure the the "feeds off love" thing has the implication that having love removed is a bad thing. The other issue is that in order to feed off of that love, one member of the relationship gets screwed; the Queen couldn't have fed off of SA's love for Cadence without Cadence getting removed from the picture.

That said, we just don't know enough about how changeling society or biology works to say anything about society as a whole. From what we have seen, I think it's safe to say that Chrysalis is evil, and the fact that her legions are gleefully going along with her plot makes them evil by association. Not entirely evil, or even always Chaotic Evil, but all the ones we've seen lean in that direction.

EDIT: And no more about that because conversation has apparently moved on.

As for the band thing, I think it would be amusing to have Rarity playing something totally random. Like a theremin.

@Seraphem: I don't see Fluttershy in a band of any position. Oh sure, she has done stage work before, but that was dress showcasing. All she had to do in those moments were to walk, stand, and walk again. For a band, she will have a responsibility and I doubt she could hold herself knowing how timid she is.

She could play bass then.

@ Sereg: I like that opening, I was thinking about starting the story with a failed attempt to depose Permafrost and then being taken out by a full display of her power. Maybe kills the guards as well, Snowcatcher only barely escapes, possibly this is when she meets the rebellion.
