@Ginger: What,
this picture
? Yeah, I do like it. She's nowhere near thin enough in build, but the glasses, yes, are mrowr. =D
Can you think inside the chimney?
@Red hehe, you must be one of those people who prefered Yuki when she had glasses
I'd like that picture more if she didn't look so dirty

Mr. Blue, you did it right
Wait, for some reason I imagined the humanized!Changeling Queen looking a lot like the Other Mother's monster forms from Coraline

I still want Leo to become cannon....
Gay, Autistic, Nerd, Gamer, Gleek, Brony, Writer, Fan, Master Of The Ever Changing Avatar, Mad Man.
I am in fact awesome.
Exactly, JTeeth. And yes, Ginger, I'm a glasses man. XD I actually like the freckles, yeah... reminds me of Slugbox's OC Anurae. I do like freckles in general, though. (Yay Irish.)
Can you think inside the chimney?
I'm just happy Wild Fire is now canon. :B

What's the worst that could happen anyways?
Thing is to me they don't look like freckles, they look like... mold or dirt
Is it me or did the queen's hair look like seaweed. I thought she had a very "drowned" look

I just realized... the captain of the guard gets saved by the princess. Which is nice, since it's almost always the other way around.
Mr. Blue, you did it right
@Kyler so... it was the ending of Enchanted?
Y'know, that cliche is flipped around so much these days I actually wished it were played STRAIGHT more often

Is that so? Curse my
Small Reference Pools!
Mr. Blue, you did it right
I don't see it that often actually.
Eh, you're probably right. I just wish people would focus less on conventions (be it sticking to them or flipping them on their head) and more on telling a good story... with good VILLAINS!!

For me, the problem is less that a man rescues a woman, but that the woman is basically useless until she's rescued. I wouldn't care if the knight was rescuing a lady under a spell or something, but if she's just there and is just being a stupid idiot who doesn't try to do anything to help herself, that the trope really begins to bother me.
The Element of Procrastination
@ilse but see the thing is, not all woman WOULD be able to escape on their own, or even be smart enough to come up with an escape plan. Same goes for a LOT of men too (like me). If it works and doesn't feel contrived given the characters that have been established then who cares if it's a guy or a girl? This character is incapable of escaping without another characters help

Ah well, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about

No, I know sometimes a person can be useless. What bothers is when they CAN be useful or at the very least TRY to resist (That's why SA's enchantment didn't bother me- he was kind of resisting the Queen's spell, if only subconsciously). I just hate when they're just taken away and they start just crying and not every TRYING to do something. That's for either male or female. And yes, in RL it happens all the time when someone is overpowered, which should translate to the fictional realm.
Basically, Damsels in Distress can be done very badly, and that is by making them completely useless. So useless in fact, that they don't even care enough about themselves to make any sort of effort to save themselves.
The Element of Procrastination
I'd like Yuki's glasses if they weren't so reflective. You can't even see her eyes.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
I finally found Derpy in the newest episode! Woo hoo! Day. Made.
