Word Of God is that Blueblood ''is'' Celestia's grand nephew, 52 times removed, on her mother's side.

But then that'd make Blueblood their half nephew. And it would also mean that they had parents and also that their mother and father weren't entirely faithful to each other. Either that or parthenogenesis.

On top of that, 52 generations is enough to ensure that unless the family line is extremely inbred or only had let's say... one kid every generation... all of Equestria would technically be descended from Celestia's mom as well.

Also if you watch the pilot closely you'll hear the narrator refer to Celestia and Luna as unicorns, not alicorns or pegasi or earth ponies.

So something fucking ''happened'' to those two to give them wings and shit.

I know this feels like beating a dead horse, but I was watching Look Before You Sleep on Treehouse today. Not too bad an episode, and it was also my second exposure to the show, at first only watching a few minutes before I couldn't take it anymore at first, which was back in February. Now that I have a bit more tolerance for it, I watched the whole thing today. However, a new problem arises. I was watching with closed captions on, in case I miss anything like I always do. Around 16 minutes in, after Applejack apologizes to Rarity, she says something along the lines of "Stop being so dang fussy....". However, the closed captions actually misinterpreted Applejack's "dang" as "damn" so it looked like "Stop being so damn fussy....". I got nothing. So I guess not only is Treehouse bowdlerizing the show, they're also being hypocrites in terms of captioning. You may be thinking they get the captions from the original Hub airing, but Treehouse makes the captions themselves. And I can prove this because back when Boast Busters aired, when it got to Trixie's infamous censored line, it simply said "(no audio)" which obviously wouldn't have happened on the Hub. Thus proving my evidence that Treehouse are over-sensitive Moral Guardians and hypocrites in terms of that. What.

Also, for the Fall '11 lineup, they changed the schedule around as usual. Fortunately, they finally decided to get rid its crappy Sunday timeslot (after Barney) and in its place, they decided to put it into two Wednesday timeslots, 6:30 and 9:30. Two problems now arise. One, both of these timeslots are after Dora The Explorer and Two, it seems like these are going to be the only timeslots that MLP Fi M is going to get on Treehouse for this specific Fall lineup (that is if you don't want to get up at 5:30 AM to watch it.)]

I'm way too obsessed with this.

You don't know that it's the same people making the captions as those stripping out the audio, do you? The censored episodes could have been sent off to some other team later on before they went to air, and they simply wouldn't have known what the lines were originally. If the caption writers were completely separate from the Treehouse channel itself, that might explain why they thought the word "damn" was okay.

I don't think alicorns are another race - or rather, I don't think they're just another race. If you ask me, alicorn-ness doesn't cause godlike power, nor does godlike power cause alicorn-ness; they're part and parcel of the same thing. It may or may not be possible for alicorns to mate with the other three pony breeds, but I very much doubt it's actually possible to get an alicorn from mating a pegasus and a unicorn, since it's not just the horn and the wings that make an alicorn in this universe.

You'd need a menage a trois to make an alicorn

Blueblood is not a Prince of Equestria, simply a/the Prince of Canterlot. He has no political power in say Ponyville or Manehatten. Equestria was once divided into smaller nations until Celestia & Luna united them.
