Hmm, so there are two types of that trope? Applejack and Rarity's Type 2 style feuding can be cute, but Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie come dangerously close to Type 1 for me.

Fluttershy/Applejack is a must for Season 2. And just more AJ in general, she´s the pony we seem to know the least about I think.

Rarity/Rainbow Dash I don´t think we´ve seen much of either

I've been wondering how well Rarity and Pinkie Pie would work together, as I keep thinking more and more that Rarity has a lot in common with Pinkie Pie, but would probably hate to ever admit it.

I think my favorite character interaction that has been explored well already is Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy, because they're both shy, only in different ways, so it's unpredictable who'll end up taking the lead.

"Shy" I think is the wrong word. "Awkward" is probably closer to what you´re thinking.

I don't know... I think the difference might be something like, Fluttershy worries more about saying the wrong things, while Twilight worries more about doing the wrong things.

Okay, I'm just going to leave the CMC issue alone now, even though I have more to say about it.

I agree that we could use an Applejack/Pinkie episode. I feel like their personalities would bounce off of each other really well, mainly because Applejack is much more focused and practical, while Pinkie does pretty much everything Just for Fun.

You remember that Applejack helped Pinkie Pie with her baking, but because Applejack was sleep-deprived at the time, she messed up the ingredients and sent all of Ponyville to the infirmary. I think they may not get along in the ideal way (Pinkie may resent her for it, but knew she had an excuse), but yes, they'd be either frenemies, or tough love.

The Rarity/Applejack relationship is of interest to me because they never really brought it up! It's like (and forgive me for using this show as a comparison) that episode of Family Guy where it's just suddenly mentioned late in the later seasons that Quagmire hates Brian, and it offers some good new dynamic among the cast, but then they milk it until Quagmire becomes unlikable and Brian becomes more of a loser.

Um? That's something that had just happened. And all she said was "And you were doing so well, too, " and it was never brought up again.

^That wasn't Pinkie holding a grudge, that was Pinkie acting as Secret Enforcer.

I'd agree that we need more Dash-Rarity. They're exact opposites on the scale of girly-tomboyish, and aside from "Sonic Rainboom", which isn't so much a Dash-Rarity episode as it is a Dash And Rarity episode, they don't interact much at all.

@Red Savant: Honestly, if there is anypony that is least likely to get any character development its Pinkie.

I'm not sure whether or not I even want Pinkie Pie to have meaningful character development.

Oh, they are allowed to, but whether or not it is received well by the audience is a completely different matter. That is why don't expect her to get any development (in fact I see her becoming even more of Loony Toon as time goes on).

Dure i think pinkie really could be developer more.

I think that Pinkie could be developed a little, but they'd have to be really careful about it. They key is not to have her develop in a way that negates her basic characterization.

I don't even care if this has been posted already. There's only one other Avenue Q AMV I've seen that's this good.

Im the only one who loves the MLP theme? One of the things that got me into Fi M was the version that played during Luna and Celestia's story.
