Well ginger, we've got an excellent trope page for that sort of thing. They're very much traditional style JRP Gs if that thing appeals to you at all, although I don't remember many of the villains being particularly memorable.

I just started playing through three the other day. It's pretty good so far.

Dragon quest is a cartoony RPG series with heavy influence from Akira Toriyama.

@ Absol, if you talking FF V, then no it's not on the DS it's on GBA, only DS ones are III and IV

Yeah, I know. Pagetopper said V for DS, probably mean IV. But V is one of the few Pre-VII games that hasn't been re-released 20+ times, so it would be nice.

@Ginger: Ever hear of Dragon Warrior? That's Dragon Quest; they had to change the name here because it had been copywritten, but the copyright ran out so now it's Dragon Quest again.

I just had the idea for a story with Black and White Morality about two sides (Black and White) and a villain which is themed around being grey.

Am I unconsciously making a take that at Gray morality? XD

well in that setting, grey could be an enemy to either side, so..could be interesting.

The original four are Conquest, War, Famine and Death. Conquest is often changed to Pestilence, because people don't realize Death and Famine pretty much cover diseases.

I think a good power for Famine would be something that involved constant draining of energy on behalf of the attacker and the victim.
