@kegi One line I thought was ridiculous though, was when someone said that pegasus was intimately familiar with EVERY strategy that was EVER created for Duel Monsters. Why? becasue he invented the game.

Now, I'm not sure, (feel free to correct me) but I'm pretty sure the creator of an expansive game like that wouldn't know EVERY POSSIBLE WAY in which an audience would play it. That's ridiculous

Ginger should definitely look into MTG, if only for the story. Nicol Bolas is one of the best long-running villains I have ever seen, and he's a near omnipotent ancient dragon mage to boot. He literally fits every singe one of Ginger's villain criteria that I can think of, and the lesser villains are no slouches either (Oona is a personal favorite of mine.)

I remember you had to speak ancient egyptain to summon Ra, and that if you tried to use a fake you got strcuk by lightning.

And I'm going to be honest here? 9 times out of ten game designers know shit about what it's possible to do in their game. Seriously. Especially for a strategy game, someone will find ways to do something you never intended - it's so prevalent that it happens in almost every game, and we even have a term for it: Emergent Gameplay. you build a mechanic, and the player uses it in a way you didn't expect, often so much so that the game becomes almost about that.

What was Ra's deal anyways? Wasn't it like a giant 'fuck you' card or something?

And sorry, I hadn't even been thinking about it. I've got something big planned for the VDC, and between that and job hunting I'm a tad busy. And stressed. And mildly pissed off most of the time, but I'm trying not to let that bit come through.

His ATK and DEF points were also the sum of those of the monsters sacrificed to summon him.

He could also turn into a phoenix and kill anything, not sure what you have to do to do that though

The real card only had the cast from hitpoints ability.
