I don't know, never read Cupcakes itself, but Pinkamina is beautifull drawn, hyper-expressive, extremely moe, like, you really want to hugh her and help her with her problems. Either by helping her solve her personal issues or by helping her deal with the carcasses. Or both. Bwa ha ha.

BTW, I see complains about NSFW material, but I find no actual NSFW stuff. [Is wondering if that stuff exists and where to access it, has found actual rule 36 of Fi M to be generally lacking in quality saving a few exceptions]. ^Talent is CHEAP, practice is what matters. Though, yeah, there's the thricee damned skill gap (when your taste is far superior to your proficiency and so everything you make looks like shit to you).

This, so much. For instance, I was never what people would refer to as a talented artist. However, I did have an inclination toward it due to my inclination toward design. I've been drawing for nearly two decades now, where the first decade, anything I didn't trace looked terrible. I've learned through trial and error and now I've reached a point where I'm putting out the type of stuff I post here every night. Stuff which, not to toot my own horn or anything, I think is actually starting to look pretty good (of course, then I look at some of those really amazing artists out there and feel like a kid playing with crayons again). Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say with this rambling is "I'm a living proof of that concept?"

Apparently no body wants to talk about the possibility of a lightsaber-horn duel between Twilight and Discord. I see how it is!

Since that guy on Tumblr was probably lying, I'm not going to believe any new spoilers about Season 2. Even when the episode comes out, I will cross my arms and puff out my cheeks and disbelieve the HELL OUT OF IT.

But then it turns out Twilight's father reall was discord! He gave a Sarcastic Confession to throw her off, because he didn't want his sweet little girl to know what a monster he had become!

He didn't start out so bad, really. He just wanted to see his daughter again. Celestia never let her come home, she was always so busy. Hetried, and he tried, to see her, but he could never get an audience - his requests were always buried in red tape. It was noponies fault, he knew that, but it still hurt. He tried to sneak in to see her but he got caught...the guards called him a thief, and a spy, and threw him in the dungeons. He never even knew if Celestia heard about it. Twilight's letters home told him that sometimes the castle ran almost autonomously. They finally released him, but he was still so angry. He just wanted to see his little girl! What was so wrong about that!? But he had a plan, a plan he hatched in his time in the cell...if he couldn't go to Celestia, she would come to him! He would cause such a disturbance, she would have to come and look! He would cause discord...he would be discord! He couldn't have known that Celestia would send his own daughter after him...but what could he do? He couldn't tell his sweet little girl all the awful things he had done...He had to keep going, keep up the charade, no matter how much it hurt.

^^^ Gasai Yuuno, from Mirai Nikki, is the über Yan Dere. She's also Creepy Sexy as all hell. Pinkamina is more of a Yan GIRE though, but there's a similar vibe.

Blegh. I can't get behind any of the grimdarkification stuff. It just doesn't jive at all with the show I've managed to find myself enjoying.

But she's so cute!

Admittably, yes, there is a certain level of cuteness to her, but far more than that I find it immensely disturbing and unnerving. It's also kind of depressing when I consider the people who would make such things happen in the first place.
