Well, I'm reading it, so I'm stuck with it either way... all I can do is desperately pray for the best

You should always have a link to Rainity ready for an occasion such as this.
In my ideal story, the hero charges in confident about his abilities and his chances of winning... and is subsequently decimated. Maybe not right away, maybe a little setback here, another roadblock there, constantly worn down until he finally snaps. Retreating to lick his wounds, he becomes a shell of his former self, utterly broken, until someone or something inspires him to pick up the pieces and pull himself together, rebuilding himself into a better person than he was before. And now that he has done so, he grows into the person that he needs to become in order to resolve whatever conflict was set up at the beginning of the story.
Notice how in all that rambling, I never once used the word "villain" or even "antagonist". Because sometimes, there are no enemies. Sometimes your environment is what's stifling you. Or (my personal favorite) the only enemy you have is yourself, and the negative attitudes you carry that weigh you down.
But that's just my personal preference. There are plenty of otherwise good stories that just don't appeal to me.

Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
And so the thread once again calls a halt to its ever futile task of recommending Ginger something.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Good night to everyone who left while I was trying to figure out one homework problem. I hate number theory. Yet I liked Spherical Geometry. I like the weird topics.... >_>
The Element of Procrastination
Let's keep pushing then shall we?
Number Theory is awesome. Have you considered attending PROMYS?
@Crowlover: I get
Dokument nicht gefunden, though it appears you were trying to link to a Grimm's tale.

What's the code to embed Youtube vids anyway?
Push! Push! PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH!
God, everyone always feels the need to crane me over the fucking head with the fact that a good story doesn't need an villain. I fucking GET IT!!
That's NOT what I'm asking for though, and I'd prefer you not ridicule me Kyler!

It isn't completely futile. We got him to read A Song of Ice and Fire and Fallout Equestria. I think he was also reading Homestuck at some point. We just need to pick something and harp on it until he breaks down.
The problem is that half the time when I do recommend you something with an awesome villain, you reject it anyway.

Or you could GASP CHOKE... reccomend me something with good villains, not try to fore me to like everything that has no antagonist when I've told you all multiple times that villains are all I know

To be fair we always recommend doorstoppers. The poor guy only has so much time to read.
So what landmark are we trying to reach this time?
Ginger just needs to learn how to put something down when he doesn't like it. The entire reason that he doesn't want to try things is because he thinks he's forced to finish a book/whatever he's started.
