Hey Ginger, today I read a book that was completely unlike the kind of book that I'd normally read. It was ok, but at least I tried something different.

So who wants Orchestrated Ear Porn?

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.

Ooh, I like ear porn.

In other news, I love our obsession with Trixie. It causes some strange and wonderful things to come into this world.

Edit: I...feel like I should recognize that melody, but I don't.

Double Edit: HOLY SHIT THAT MUSIC IS FUCKING EPIC!!!!

I kinda feel bad about my fic not having a villain. Unless you count a powerful cosmic event as a villain, that is. I suppose that the individual mini stories that make it up could have villains, but I'm not even done with the first one yet, and I'm not going to fore an antagonist into a story that doesn't need one.

@Story And how many times must I say this... if I take a chance and don't like it, then I'm trapped until I've finished it...

It's why I make such an effort to be sure that I'd like something all the time

[up]... -_- Whatever works best for the story

It only took me a couple hours to read. Not that big a deal.

That was an orchestrated compilation of Nightmare Night, Rainbow Factory, Beyond Her Garden and Bréige Pinkie.

[up][up] I'm a very slow reader (thanks for reminding me), and everyone always reccomends Door stoppers

Well what books are you thinking of? And OOTS isn't exactly a door stopper.

@Perpetual: It's fine, the important thing is that you have conflict, but that doesn't need to be against a villain. There have been perfectly good stories where the threat is a natural disaster or getting lost in the woods or something. Not all stories need a villain.

Now excuse me while I don some garlic. Gingers are repelled by garlic, right?

@Crowfall Yeah, I know. It's just something that I want to do at some point, because writing a good villain really interests me, but I need to follow ideas through and not mess with what works (and apparently it really is working).

I never once denied that there are good stories without good villains, it's that good villains are what I'm interested in and people keep reccomending stories without them

It'd be like asking for Western movies and being offered Sci-Fi flicks all the time

Hmmmm....so.... I wonder when we'll get more info about the finale... Isn't there gonna be a special wedding commentary thingy? When is that? This weekend or during the special?

Stories with crappy heroes tend to bug me more, usually because I feel the story is much more bittersweet if I can't root for the inevitable winner of the story. If the hero is more sympathetic than a cardboard villain it can at least have a satisfying payoff at the end. Not that crappy villains don't bug me too.

Goodnight Seraphem.

I probably wouldn't like Firefly, no good villains
