If you're going into it expecting to hate it, you will find no joy in Ponyville.

It's not that, it's that I don't want to end up having another Guilty Pleasure to watch. It's one thing if you admit to watching stuff like Powerpuff Girls, Care Bears (I grew up watching the 80's toon) Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake (I like the 2003 version) and even Hamtaro. But this show...I would Never Live It Down if someone knew about me watching it.

Watch it wearing a Groucho Marx disguise. Then nobody will know it's you.

After a few episodes you will forget you were ever worried about feeling shame.

I have no idea how this is supposed to be worse than those.

Anyway, I have to say, the two parter just hooked me in and I couldn't stop watching. The Power of Friendship. So Anvilicious, and yet... I'm hooked... in a two parter episode... is this normal? It must be the character designs. I'll probably watch a few more episodes...

I have pride in My Little Pony fandom.

I also happen to like the Powerpuff Girls, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, and Strawberry Shortcake. Not only that, but those are some of my top favourites in all of Western Animation. You have good taste.

If only you could have more pride in liking the best. Pat yourself on the back, you deserve it.

It's time I fessed up. I've been watching this show as well. I haven't seen all of them yet though. It reminds me of Foster's and PPG, which shouldn't be surprising in the least really.

What I am surprised by is that Rarity is my favorite character. I was expecting her to be kind of a libby, but she's not. She's a classy pony. I liked when Rarity found out her element was generosity and she looked all bashful, like she just found out her own Hidden Depths.

I noticed the way Pinkie Pie hops around, and it makes me think that they should do a shout out to Pepe Le Pew when he chases that cat.

I think avoiding a Libby on a show for young children is a good idea. I wouldn't want kids who like fashion to feel left out.

For some reason there was a discussion going on about this show in the MS Paint Adventures forum, and I just watched the first episode and am halfway through the second.

This show is basically the total shiz. Things are looking up for girl-oriented media. (I am not a girl but I approve of that.)

I have not. The episodes I've seen have been out of order. Looks like I'm in for a pleasant surprise.

EDIT: Well that certainly was hilarious. And it had awesome music as well. Rainbow Dash has got a cool leitmotif. She makes rainbows metal, and now I want to make an AMV of this show to Rainbow in the Dark.
