I curse this Wiki for getting me into this show. The first episode wasn't anything really mind blowing. The art was dazzling and the characters were cute but it didn't seem to have much to offer a 20 year old college student. But...for some reason, I kept thinking about it...and thinking about it.
Especially Rainbow Dash. I mean, come on!
Now I'm looking forward to each one.

I chuckled when I realized you could shorten his name to Big Mac.
The order of the episodes with the seasons seems odd, though. Like with Fall of the Leaves being after Winter Wrap Up.

Maybe the seasons aren't as predictable in Ponyland. They did get really freaked out about nature working..erm... naturally (magic blue flowers aside) in the forest where the zebra lives.
"Man, reading this thread makes me wanna watch another episoh holy hell I'm out of new episodes"
The good thing about the show is that it has juuuuuuuuuuuust enough self-awareness that you don't feel completely stupid for watching it, even if it is extremely well-acted and directed.
I really hope this show paves the way for more good girl-oriented shows, that are friendly enough that boys will enjoy them, too.
^Yeah, she is. For like two minutes but still.
Call of the Cutie. She's Apple Bloom's teacher.
Tell me that it's at least 80s Cherilee.

So while we're waiting for the next episode, I ask. What was the original "My Little Pony" like?
I don't konw what to think, anymore.
Kind of fun, actually, though pretty uneven.
The World Is Always Doomed at the hands of horrible demons. Which is pretty cool, but it jars heavily with the main characters. Also,
Off Model was the order of the day.
The second series, My Little Pony Tales, was a bit like a proto version of the current one, but it really went overboard with the anthropomorphization.
Well ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry?
Okay, I'm beginning to have
Hype Aversion from this show...
should I really watch it?
