Is it safe to say that I LOVE this show? I find it interesting that Lauren Faust wants female characters taken seriously for once, and I like that.

From what I got from dish network, it looks like it's going to be a Rairty Episode.

Not yet from what I can tell.

Fluttershy is just too adorable in this episode, and even though the plot becomes painfully obvious two minutes in, it's still awesome when you reach the end.

More seriously, another great episode. I loved:

-Rarity being able to notice Rainbow Dash's nervousness

-Rainbow Dash BEING nervous. I've felt for a while now that her braggart exterior helped hide a layer of self-doubt...

-The sonic rainbow itself. The animators really managed a moment of awesome there.

-Fluttershy. She was incredible in this episode. So. Freaking. Funny.

...Oh, and I never believed Rainbow Dash is gay (even if I like it as fanon), but this episode helps push the straight theory.

When Rarity came out in make-up resembling the Floor Show from Rocky Horror, I half-expected her to start singing Don't Dream it, Be It.

FANFICTION TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME

I wasn't particular excited about most of this episode, but Fluttershy flipping her shit at the Sonic Rainboom and Rainbow Dash being all "omigoshomigoshomigoshomigosh" made it all worth it. The very first gag about Fluttershy's cheering was amazing as well.

The bit with Fluttershy cheering at the end reminded me of Chiyo in Azumanga Daioh.

Sweet, I got caught up with all the episodes now.

I'm noticing there were a few instances of googly eyes in this one. Are they giving a nod to the popularity of ponies having derpiness?

Also, didn't Rainbow Dash want to join the Wonderbolts? Doesn't seem hard for her to do at this point considering she's basically stated by the head monarch to be the best flyer in Equestria. I kind of doubt that will come to a satisfying resolution, though.

My girlfriend and I both hope that Derpy will get an official name and a focus episode eventually, or at least be a significant character for one episode.

It reminded me of that scene toward the end of Digimon Adventures. You know - the one with Kari cheering on Angewomon fighting Ladydevimon.
