But more to the point, it's just easier to have the image in front of you. With imagination it takes a bit to get it started, but with porn, BOOM! you're ready. Plus it allows for more focus, since you don't have to imagine anything. All the work is done for you.

Catching up on the thread a bit here.

Re background ponies: I don't let them distract me from the episode itself, I save that for subsequent viewings. Unless she's really obvious I tend to miss Derpy. They're just fun little background details to make rewatching episodes more fun.

@Bluespade: My family wasn't Catholic but we still gave stuff up for Lent. Not sure how many branches do that.

I just feels remarkably...simple...in execution and writing thus far. Maybe it gets better, but it doesn't feel as intelligently written as the last few episodes.

My only complaint with this episode was that Applejack was completely relegated to the job of "Background Pony". She had absolutely nothing to add to the plot.
