I had an odd idea for a semi-Darker and Edgier fanfic (or at least a 'serious' fic) about the Gen 1 ML Ps and the End of Flutter Valley. Deciding to take the episode's title seriously, I proposed the idea that the Flutter Ponies didn't get the Sunstone up to the perch in time. Maybe the cavalry didn't arrive in time or maybe they just didn't blow the cloud away fast enough—I hadn't figured that part out yet. But with the Flutter Ponies without a home, the witches ready to move in, and Bumble and her bees still around, where would they go and stuff?
Then I ran out of ideas.

I think that's the same deal as Dinky Doo - other parent must have been a unicorn. As far as I know we don't see OPPP's Spouse (Though Fanon has it she's married to Romana.)
Somewhat related, does anyone ever take a step back to consider how absurd it is that even the background characters have been given rich lives by the fandom here? I'm not complaining, it just seems odd to me.

I can't recall off the top of my head when OPCP appears but the screencaps exist so she does exist.
And yes, MLP Fi M is unique in that many of its incidental background characters tend to have quite a bit of personal quirks, even if they aren't as fleshed out as the mane cast. Like how the flower ponies are so easily frightened, or how little Noi seems to have Multiple Personality Disorder due to her ever changing cutie mark. Not to mention Derpy Hooves and her little walled eyed-ness.
