Re: HS derail a page ago: Homestuck starts as wacky antics using reality-warping Sims-like game and later develops/GenreShifts into an epic story about the fates of the universes. If you like stories of such an epic scale, you may like it.

To parallel it with ponies with same briefness: MLPFIM starts with a contrived plot about the elements of harmony and later shifts into daily lives of the likeable cast.

Also, in my opinion, Hype Aversion is the stupidest thing.
