@Ginger: The main reason I didn't bring up Boast Busters was because Fluttershy and Pinkie do pretty much nothing in it, and there's a ton of emphasis on Trixie. I was trying to think of episodes that focus on the mane cast.
In that case Dragonshy probably would be a good choice then, since all of the cast are prominently featured

Tealove is best pony
By the way, is anyone good at drawing pony sprites? Because I am having a lot of trouble with it, especially the legs.

Alright, thanks for all the responses. Especially Japanese Teeth - your post gave me a good idea of what the charm is. I guess I'll try watching more of it sometime.
^My guess is that by the time anyone really saw what was happening, she was out of range of Celestia's telekinesis (

her sun-raising magic being something else entirely

), and Celestia's nowhere near as fast as the Wonderbolts or Dash. She could probably have teleported down, but that might present its own set of problems.
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!
...Or she wanted Rarity out to be the prettiest pony. Kiddding! I agree with you that's the mos logical answer.
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

By the time Rarity K Oed them, only RD was close enough to make it in time.
Which is a funny sentiment, since she was higher than anypony else at the time.
She was already in flight though, so yeah.
I have a message from another time...
Yeah, any other pony would have had to launch themselves and then build momentum. RD was already in prime position for a rescue.
You'd think she'd do that slightly more often.
I mean, she still has to ride to Ponyville just to say she can't come to Ponyville.
Nobody will see through my disguise... this time...
I think what the deal with Twilight's teleportation is is that 'porting longer distances will cause her to feel disoriented, like in the pilot. Maybe?
