They don't need shields. They're cheap, there's a ton of them and they're ridiculously agile.

That's kind of the whole point. The Imperial battle strategy is, "Build as many ships as possible as quickly as possible and overwhelm the enemy with supperior numbers." Pretty sure Zapp Brannigan is a graduate of the Imperial Acadamy.

Yay! I guess Luna did hopefully make it to the wedding. And looking at her, "feisty" expression, she took some lessons from RD (or not). I keep thinking she broke a wall, and hid the break to sneak into the wedding ceremony.

To be fair, their Capital Ships are bigger and better than almost anything else. And their fighters focus on speed and agility rather than durability. The point of Tie Fighters/Interceptors/etc is to dodge rather than take the hits.

Yeah, but it always boggled my mind that the starfighters the rebels had, barring those fancy experimental Imperial ships and the gunboats, just seemed like better ships. Like the A-Wings. Those things might be fragile as hell, but at least they have shields. And missile launchers.

But the rebels don't have as many A-Wings. Throw 10 TIE Fighters at an A-Wing and see who comes out on top.

Mage: I'm guessing you mean other than Luna. The way ponies revere her now, it's unlikely that it happened in recent history. But it's certainly possible in the past.

They didn't have many A Wings and they were just barely faster than TIE Interceptors. Empire needed to outfit an entire galaxy. Rebellion had a tiny fraction of that.

Are best ship for each game (I know I skipped one game, but hard to decide there).

Archer Enterprise (and Voyager) are cool too, only their series are not that greeat.

And imperial fighters, well those are crappy, but that's point, Empire adapted Confederacy doctrine in that mater.
