Perhaps "Party of One" will involve the others getting busy preparing for the Grand Galloping Gala, or otherwise enbroiled in their work/chores/duties. Pinkie, mistakenly thinking the aesop will be "All work and no play makes ponies pitiful", tries to force them to goof around with her, but only manages to irritate them. Perhaps she even gets some of them in trouble, falsely percieved as 'slacking off' — given the focus on how much work Rarity has had as of late, maybe she loses/almost loses a client due to Pinkie's meddling? Applejack also takes her work very seriously, so Pinkie getting in the way too much could cause her to lose her temper and snap.

The recent emphasis on how seriously Pinkie takes promises could also become a factor. "Promise you won't bother me when I'm working!", for instance — and then Pinkie becomes miserable because it seems like that friend is always working, and has to learn to respect her friends' wishes. Given how the series seems to be in Anachronic Order at times, this could even be the incident that makes her extra-serious about always keeping promises in the first place.

... That would be great.

They didn't pair any utterence of "dark side of the moon" with a shot of Nightmare Moon.
