On my day off I ended up taking the dog to the groomer, baking muffins, and trying to get some merchandise made for the art show Im doing on May 3rd. Im going to be short pieces again I think. 6 foot table and 2 feet of merchandise...

Does anyone think Pinkie might enjoy The Thin Man movies or would she not have the patience or attention span? Would it be more likely that Rarity would enjoy it?

I think Fluttershy would like Disney and Pixar animation as well as nature documentaries. She would probably adore "Planet Earth"

Rainbow Dash would enjoy action or adventure movies with likable leads. She would also really like comedy, particularly more "low-brow" comedy.

Rarity would probably enjoy artsy movies that are very dramatic. She would also probably enjoy a lot of romantic films. She would have a love-hate relationship with romantic comedies.

Twilight: pretty much any kind of documentary

Applejack: She would like a variety of stuff. She would not have a particular genre she enjoyed. She would be the average viewer.

Pinkie Pie: Comedies and musicals.

Rarity would definitely cry at the end of An Affair to Remember.

@Ginger: Given that racism and slave stereotypes are an entirely foreign concept to ponies, I imagine they'd all like it (with the exception of Dash, who would be bored).

Edit: That is to say, they wouldn't have any uncomfortable associations to mar the film.

Does anybody who knows their way around deviantart better than I do have any suggestions for getting seen? I'm trying to use it to garner some traffic for my blog. Joining a group looks like a good idea, but none of the ones I'm looking at seem to welcome my sort of stuff.

Do you think Zecora would like stuff like Ghost Hunters and Monster Quest, etc? I could see her watching all the Paranormal TV stuff on the History channel and laughing, it'd probably be comedy to her

About Song of the South, I've only really seen the "Tar Baby" sequence and the parts that were shown on Disney sing-a-long videos, but the discussion made me wonder which pony would be best at the whole "Please don't throw me in the briar patch!" reverse psychology technique. I would probably guess Rarity, because she seems to be the best at acting or putting on a facade of some sort.

No guesses on who might like The Thin Man? It seems I've dated myself by referencing a pre-Hayes Era film.

Twilight? Maybe AJ?

It's a screwball comedy/mystery film starring William Powell and Myrna Loy. One of the best films of its type. At least the first one was good, the others are definitely not as good. Thankfully, the chemistry between the leads salvages the later films somewhat.

Hmm. Yeah, Twilight would probably like it. I think you're right that AJ would be able to appreciate it too.
