Pinkie definitely has at least some chubbiness from her high energy diet, although most of it gets burned off by her hyperactivity.

Also, the hourglass spotlighted in the end of "the once and future thing" and The Doctor running and splashing mud in the CMC in "the smughie muchie and hooves day" are all connected somehow. Also, the major asking for a Celestia audience in "the troll phoenix"

@Mousa Well, we've had a pony called Joe and a pony who's middle name is Diane. So, for some reason, human names exist in Equestria. Russel isn't too strange.
