I'm mixed about stereotypical old guy jokes. I admit they do get tired after a while, but often I can't help laughing at some of the most exagerrated ones (eg. Mr Burns, Old Man Jenkins). Does anyone complain about Applejack being offensive to Texans or Rarity being offensive to upper class Brits?

I admit it's kinda a semi accent, but still she comes off as kinda a cliche posh diva character at times, like a benevolent version of Absolutely Fabulous.

Rarity has a very affected Posh accent. I've never thought of it as British; it's just directionlessly upper-class.

That's one thing (from a long list!) that Tabitha St Germain does very well. Rarity's accent drops almost more often than not, which is a really good character tidbit.

It's within the ethnicity of "posh".

Basically another example of when something of an ethnic stereotype evolves into an actual personality archetype.

Kinda reminds me of Oblina from Ahh Real Monsters. Having a posh British accent and then dissolving into an obnoxious American rant whenever frustrated.

We're not really using slur, we're just pointing out the use of stereotypes in the show and how they play more into making personalities than being offensive gags.
