What reasons? Sleep deprivation?

@Story Personally, I'm sad that they don't have pages for The Road To Oz or The Juniper Tree

Despite the obvious similarities, I really don't think they're all that similar. In this episode, the breakdown is for a different reason, and it plays out in a subtler manner. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think the two episodes aren't quite as similar as they seem at first glance.

@Psi: A combination of sleep deprivation and the fact that a message from your future self is something to be legitimately concerned about. In Lesson Zero, the problem was almost entirely in Twilight's head. In this one, she actually had a reason to freak out.

But I've never heard of those so they're not important.

Hmm, Cable Guy, that's a movie I've caught most of the scenes of on TV, but never sat down and watched from beginning to end. And now I'm imagining how the story could happen in the world of My Little Pony and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

She thought something really bad was going to happen. Something that she would be responsible for. That's a far better cause for worry than being a little late in sending a report.

Re: A Wedding in Canterlot (previously posted by Ace Of Scarabs): Huh, so then that new castle place is Canterlot after all?

Also, more photos of the possible Fashion Style Derpy toy.

looks up The Cable Guy

Wow, that's definitely not what I thought. I was thinking of Larry.

Anyway, you should read The Pushcart War if you can find it.

@story

Lesson Zero: Her insanity stemmed from an unfinished homework assignment and fear of Disproportionate Retribution from a character who's only ever been benevolent.

It's About Time: Her insanity stemmed from an incomplete message of warning from a desperate, heavily injured looking future version of herself, plus sleep deprevation, plus a possible head injury

What sounds more believable?

[up][up][up][up]Its amazing how she was able to galvanize the whole of Ponyville to react to her dire warning. Instead of them just laughing and then ignoring her as is what most people would do.

plus as Ginger said, flowerpot to the head hard enough to need a bandage, probably means your dealing with a concussion.

As said before Lesson Zero had a sillier idea, but executed in a manner I felt was rather funny and witty to compensate. It's About Time has a better thought concept, but is executed in a more mediocre manner. Execution is as important as concept.

Add to that I never said anything about less believability, I just thought is more bland an episode.

Keep in mind that this is a town regularly struck by disaster.

Is it still a general rule not to sleep when you have suffered a concussion?

[up] I highly doubt THAT was the reason she decided to forego sleep

not till you've made sure there's no real brain trauma yeah, but three days.....that's way to long. It means like a few hours.

I felt that Lesson Zero was the one with sloppier execution. I mean, facial distortion? Really?

I was honestly surprised that the townsponies didn't start panicking more quickly, given how quickly they usually freak out.

I know someone who tried to stay up for 72 hours straight once, but his mom made him go to bed before he could make it.

Twi is apperently important enough to frequently make public speeches in Ponyville and for everyone to care, I wonder if the entire town was notified by Celestia of her stay so they feel obligated to listen to Celestia's student.

I think I'll just have to agree to disagree here since so much of this just comes down to opinion. I didn't even say it was a bad episode, just an unmemorable one.
