Gilda's weird, because I don't even think she needs to be broken that hard (I think that's more out of a desire to not see her get away with what she did) She just needs to be confronted at the right place at the right time, by the right people.

The group handled all 3 of those things less than tactfully

I think Pinkie's plan in the episode was reflective of her mentality, that parties and associating with people was the way to go. Which if I wanted to speculate about herd creatures like ponies versus more isolated predators like griffins was probably a bad idea on Pinkie's part.

Not to mention all the pranks which came across as threats to Gilda, not fun.

But perhaps I speculate too much.

Everyone's talking about Gilda redeeming herself to the ponies, but how about the ponies "redeeming" themselves (for lack of a better phrase) to Gilda?

I mean, the gryphon flew off instead of trying to get along because she thought the ponies were pretty lame. The other thing that also needs to be resolved is what's going to convince Gilda that these ponies are "actually kinda cool enough to hang out with after all"?

But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

but what was she expecting Gilda to do? Ignore all the pranks aswell as her own hostile behaviour? Everyone would've gotten pissed in Gilda's situation

I dunno, I don't like joining R Ps that've already gotten pages of continuity stacked onto them. I might be able to be convinced to join if it's not some lame, magical girl adventure RP in the style of the first episodes or something. Is it more like a slice of life story?

It's slice of life, yeah. And I don't think you need to know everything that's gone on, maybe just pop in to the discussion thread and ask about the 'episode' plot that we're on now. I'd explain it to you, but well, we sort of are in the wrong place.

I think if the sockpuppetry happened all the time it would get really annoying, but at the current rate of like once a month I don't think its a big deal. Its no worse than the thread spending a few hours discussing a topic that doesn't interest you.

I can easily ignore a topic that doesn't interest me, I've glossed over plenty of such pagefuls of posts as it is. But for some reason, pagefuls of sockpuppetry (and their responses) get me all riled up. I don't know why, but it does.
