Its not that I want an asshole Wonderbolt. I once heard a suggestion that one be a complete dork, and I like that.

Soarin' is probably the "dork" of the Wonderbolts.

What exactly makes him a dork? I just see him as a Big Eater and little else.

He forgot he was carrying a pie in his mouth.

I don't know how much of a dork he is; but he does strike me as the sort of pony who wouldn't be at all ashamed of having some sort of dorking interest. Like Gilda goes crazy to meet him, and discovers that he's "lame".

His voice actor doesn't help much other than enforcing the Adorkable appearance.

Speaking of Gilda, any plans on how they can redeem her in S2?

I still believe the best way would be through a Fire Forged Friendship. With Gilda rluctantly helping the mane ponies for some reason (maybe saving Rainbow Dash), and coming to respect them after seeing their individual skills. This might also be able to show us how far Gilda is willing to go to protect her friend. (emotionally, she might've been unwilling to change, but when RD is threatened with imminent danger, we don't know how Gilda would react)

Ideas, sure. Put her in danger. Put her family/friends in danger. Go with a mind-switch if you want to pick something outre. Or shapechange her into a wingless pony.

^^That's basically the route I'm trying to take with "Gryphon a Second Chance".

And yes, Soarin' is definitely the dork of the Wonderbolts (all three of them). Spitfire's very chill, it seems, and... that other guy doesn't even have a name.

Maybe the mane six would get caught up in a problem and the only one who can help them is Gilda. Then the become friends in the process of convincing her to help and defeating the antagonist of the episode. Sorry it isn't thought out very well, but that is my idea. :P

I made humanized ponies! My best one is Applejack. There isn't a lot of Applejacks on Deviant Art I found out.

Wow, I'm kind of dumb sometimes... I fixed it. Hmm, she still has way less than the other ponies.

I still think Gilda's redemption episode should be where she apologizes by helping Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash (the three she hurt in the episode) in whatever chore they're doing, botch it up, but gets accepted back in for a least trying to fix things. Though having Gilda to a heroic rescue as mentioned above does sound interesting.

Although in mine I want RD to manipulate everyone into becoming friends, since she wants them all to get along yet knows that it won''t happen natrually. It's been mentioned numerous times however that RD is not that intelligent, so I was thinking of having RD conscript Pinkie into helping aswell (since she's really good at pranks and manipulation) Do you think Pinkie would help out with a plan like that just to reform Gilda?

Maybe a heroic rescue could be the final nudge the ponies needed in order to fully accept her. Like someone ends up being in trouble or something and needs help. It would show that while Gilda is useless at chores and personal stuff, she can pull through when there's something important on the line

I've always imagine that Pinkie would be the quickest to give Gilda a second chance. I also don't think she would prank Gilda again after seeing what happened last time.

I honestly didn't understand Pinkie's idea at all in that ep.

Gilda is an Asuka Langley Soryu-like character to me. She might be able to be redeemed but she would have to go through Break the Haughty big-time. Maybe break a wing or lose an eye.

Didn't she say the purpose of the party was to lighten Gilda up and to make her happy?

As for the heroic rescue, I imagine that when Gilda helps with Fluttershy and her animal friends, Gilda scares some of them off and they run into the Everfree Forest. Gilda is hesitant while Fluttershy flies off (maybe with her friends for the added help). After Fluttershy finds the missing animals some monster shows up. At this time, Gilda swoops in and performs her heroic rescue.

Lose an eye? That's a little harsh for this show, isn't it?

I'd really like to see Rainbow Dash make an effort to reach out to Gilda. Yeah she was being a bitch in that episode, but RD didn't make any effort to patch things up, it was just "you don't like my new friends then get out." Which is understandable at the time, since she was upset and disappointed in her old friend, but it would be nice to know she tried to talk things out later.
