On the subject of favorites in the mane cast, mine are in order Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack last. I like all of them though, just some a little more than others.

Their parents! Twilight's could pester her about her studies, Fluttershy about how she never comes to visit, Rainbow Dash's about how they need her for something, Pinkie Pie's because the rock farm needs help, and well, I don't know about Apple Jack's.

I'm not sure if I'd neccesary call her an antagonist, but I've wondered what it would be like if Rainbow Dash had an older sister, (has Firefly been used for anything yet?) who comes to visit Ponyville. Only problem is she's a better flyer than Dash causing the younger sibling to go out of her way to prove her superior flying skills at every possible opportunity.

I'd like at least one of the Wonderbolts to be someone Rainbow doesn't like. Not necessarily an antagonist or a jerk, but someone she doesn't get along with for whatever reason.

Rarity could end up having to put up with an unpleasant fashion model for an episode. And I keep trying to think of antagonists for Twilight, but they all end up being Trixie.

I can imagine Trixie being like Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, and the next time she encounters the cast she'll still hate them, but they'll be after the same goal. From there she'll mellow out over time but will still be constantly challenging Twilight
