Seriously, are people getting upset over the rumour that Shining Armour is Twilight's brother? Why? I don't see why that is a issue for people. Can someone explain this to me, I feel like I'm missing something...

Well, something or other definitely disrupts the wedding. Otherwise, there would be no plot, just a wedding. Because it is a one hour special, I'm expecting something really epic!! >:D

Some people apparently are. The only reason I can think of to be upset is because it ruins Fanon. Really, that's the only real reason. It's kind of sad actually. But I'm glad that once most people are over the surprise, they are either excited or neutral (waiting for the episode to air). I think only a small minority are actually truly upset. And I think it's more a Vocal Minority thing as well.

Hmm, looking around, there seems to be more people complaining about complainers, than actual complainers. Again. This is a weird trend in the fandom.

Really, we need to have a rule about "No complaining about something unless it upsets you personally". Most of the crap that the fandom does is more complaining about people who might complain rather than actual complaints about things.

I'm really excited at the prospect of Twi's brother. This could be a great story!

OK, as far as I can tell, the problems are that people don't like the fannon jossing, or they feel that these characters are just toy cash ins. while that could be infact true, I don't see why the producers would suddenly become crap when using these caracters.

Yeah, it's like every time something pops up most people seem to be "Holy Crap this is going to cause a shitstorm! But I personally don't mind it". So you get a lot of people talking about how ridiculous it's going to be, but only a few are actually mad about it. Granted sometimes there really is drama (the whole Derpy thing), but even then it's still heavily the result of people simply talking about how they think other people are going to react to it. I mean, if we hadn't had all of those "I'm not offended by Derpy, but I heard about this guy who was", and just let the people who actually didn't like it make their own arguments I doubt it would have been as big of a deal.

So, we're talking about the fandom and shitstorms ? I have to agree that there really was very few "incidents" AFAIK. This fandom is probably the calmest I have ever joined. With maybe the One Piece fandom. As long as you kept them away from Naruto / Bleach fans.

Don't worry about Derpy. I mean, worst case scenario, I'll just have to menace them to destroy their puny headquarters with my Kill Sat.

Yeah, most of the big things seem to blow over fairly quickly. I mean, yeah there was rage over the Derpy thing, but it calmed down fairly quickly. The fandom doesn't seem to hold grudges as much. Well, some do, but they're outnumbered by those who don't. Except on places like 4chan, but really, we shouldn't expect much of them.

Have we gotten far enough past that incident to know that the animators are still putting Derpy in even with the problems she's caused?

Also, I am out of avatars now. I feel empty inside. I am remedying that emptiness with a one pound bag of assorted gummies.

Well, today's been rather... unpleasant for me. My dad came at me with a bat last night telling me to go to bed, so when I woke up this morning, I (naturally) told my older brother about it. He got pissed, confronted my dad about it... one family argument and two police officers later, older bro's moved out. All because I opened my friggin' mouth...
