Wow, I'm very sorry about that Demon. Things are going to be really hard for a while, but I hope you can use this to ultimately take care of some issues that you wouldn't be able to otherwise.

The time is now, call the police, social services, a teacher, a counselor, anyone but by all means, do not. Let. This. Stand.

Trust me, I'd love to move out, but I don't exactly have a job to provide income yet. I love my family and all, and I understand I'm needed to provide help where I can, but I feel that my safety comes before anything else. I do have a place I can stay if I do move, but I need that elusive job first. :/

I probably can't help you with family issues, but I have had to move without having a job before. It was really scary, and I only ended up getting another job because a friend of a friend was keeping his eye out, but that decisison ended up being one of the best ones I've ever made.

Edit: Obviously, your situation is a whole lot different than mine and I wouldn't presume to tell you what to do. I just wanted to offer my perspective as one who has taken that risk and had it work out for him.

I should probably mention that, while arguments aren't uncommon in this household, they don't usually escalate like this. Also, I understand why my dad wants me around: I'm pretty much the one who has to take care of my twin brother (he's autistic and thus can't really hold a job or life of his own), plus my dad's on disability because of his COPD/emphysema (he's smoked since he was 13, he's 63 now); if I moved out, I'd either have to leave Doug with my dad or take him with me (and have him pretty much be a leech on my wallet and patience). </explanation>

I'm not familiar with your history Kisame. So, why did your father confront you with a baseball bat?

I believe the word "quandary" is an appropriate descriptor for your situation.

Seriously though, that's a really hard decision to have to make. I don't envy you.

One thought, do you have a church, or other local community orginization you can go to for help?

Even I'm not entirely sure, though to be fair, I was up kinda late (though not without reason, Ubuntu had a ton of updates to install). Still, he could've just opened my door and told me to go to bed instead of threatening me with a bat.

It's a conundrum. Clearly your father is under a lot of pressure by the sounds of things, but that is no excuse for threatening behaviour of that magnitude.

I'd honestly get out of there if I was you. Until things are sorted. But, be prepared to forgive and return when it is.

What, really? I'd say that for the minimal effort of typing up and printing a few neatly-formatted paragraphs, this troll has gone quite well. I'm now seeing "BROTHER?!? WHAT?!? BROTHER?!? WHAT?!? PUMPKIN ? WHAT?!?" everywhere. It's much greater than that recent fake interview that did little but confirm what fans already wanted to hear.

I dunno, most people seem to not be caring too much about it. It's surprising, but it didn't confirm anything particularly awesome, and I really haven't seen anyone get too horribly worked up over it. If they were going to troll people, I'd have to wonder why they didn't make a bogus summary for the unknown episode that confirmed it to be about Scootaloo or something.

@Demon: The only advice I can give you at this point is to use your best judgment to do what's best for everyone involved. You know what's going on better than any of us, after all. And don't be afraid to ask for help from friends or other family if you have to.
