Had that same idea in the other Pony thread awhile back actually. It resulted in:

Followed several posts later by:

"Show 'em what happens when you mess with Sweet Apple Aces, Big Macintosh!"

"Eeyup."

And then Bic Mac kneecaps a pony.

@turnways. that fic idea isn't so bad. I'm writing a Mega Crossover fic that will include the Fi M characters. the basic premise is a multiversal war fought by a bunch of different characters from shows I like. and a recurring Big Bad will be {Series/Transformers Unicron}.

One day there's going to be a fanfic about Kamina, Patchouli and Applejack commanding the Serenity, and I'll finally go insane.

Yeah, her singing voice was pretty fitting for the most part, but when she hits the high notes in "Winter Wrap-Up", it's pretty obviously not Tara Strong singing.

So did I. It was recognizable as Timmy's voice and yet it was still perfect for flipped-out-Twilight.

I've wondered about that, too. Especially since Tara has (IIRC) provided the singing-only voice for other characters in other cartoons.

I like Sweetie Bell too, but I'm not really sure where her being a ditz came from...I guess it was her failing at set and costume design in Show Stoppers? She could be forgiven for the painting mess up, since she's a kid, and the costumes turned out looking pretty good, if a tad garish...

From what I recall she's not ditzy so much as clumsy.

I dunno, I think the gold cloth thing was a little ditzy.

She seems a bit slower mentally than the other 2, ditz is probably the wrong word

It gets more noticeable if you listen to the songs without the video later, as 3 of the ponies don't sound like themselves, and another 2 sound like each other, so sometimes I get confused about who's supposed to be singing at any given time.

Does anyone know why Rarity needed a separate singing voice anyway? With Pinkie Pie it's more understandable, and I heard the story about Shannon Chan-Kent's demo recordings. But Tabitha St. Germain has a great range, and she had lots of speaking and singing parts in the Generation 3 My Little Pony cartoons, so why is she suddenly not good enough to do a couple of songs as Rarity?

Something that occurred to me while watching older My Little Pony cartoons is that Lily Lightly and Toola-Roola often sound a lot like the new Rainbow Dash. I wonder if Erin Mathews would have been cast as Rainbow Dash if the directors hadn't been so enamored with Ashleigh Ball.

Scoots. She's quickly grown into one of my favorite characters in the show.

Neither had I, actually. They all seem way to good to just be starting, but considering that Hasbro didn't even seem to care about this off the hop, they might just be.

just to make sure people read it as I accidentally started an argument about Gilda and Trixie(which I can't stress enough that I changed my mind about those two characters) about the CMC's apparent Aesop Amnesia, here's how I see it, Scootaloo idolizes Rainbow Dash and Rainbow doesn't really seem to get the whole "finding out who you are" thing in her own cutie mark story. so Scootaloo isn't going to get it either and as the de facto leader of the Crusaders, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle probably aren't going to get that until Scoots does.

Regarding the gold cloth: She cut big pieces out of a cloth Rarity had put together for a very important commission, which, while it may not be ditzy, is a little irresponsible of her.

a little? I'd dash her fucking head in if I were Rarity.

I'd heard of Tara and Tabitha St. Germain before. That is it.

I had heard of Hey Ocean before I found out about MLP:Fi M, and I was extremely surprised when I found out the lead singer was Applejack's and Rainbow Dash's voice actress.

See, it was a case of her not thinking things through and her... sort of well-intentioned actions causing more trouble for everyone as a result. I don't know, is that not what ditzy is?
